Survivors include her two daughters, a devoted sister, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a special nephew, Ernest Smith and his wife, Louise, who loved and cared for her. Mrs. Airney loved children and animals, loved a party and lived life to the fullest.
A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Glenwood Park Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Tidewater Funeral Choices is handling arrangements.
