Graveside rites were held Wednesday at the McKinley Memorial Gardens for Edward J. Garlling of Monon, former resident of Pulaski county, who died Sunday at Pulaski Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Garling, owner of the Ed and Shorty's Bar in Monon, was born in White County on September 30, 1923, a son of the late John Garling and Amelia Hentzman Garling of Francesville. He was a member of the St. James United Church of Christ at Francesville and the Monon Eagles. His marriage to Lorraine Worblewski took place in White County in 1944.
Forty-six years of age, he is survived by the wife; his mother; two daughters, Sharon K. Clark of Indianapolis and Carolyn at home; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Viola Linback and Mrs. Irene Kopka of Francesville.
