1917 ~ 2016
Ruth Greenwood Pratt Macey passed away peacefully on Sunday Nov. 6, 2016 at the age of 99 and 1/2 years old.

She was born on April 21, 1917, in Salt Lake City, to Lacy Abplanalp and Glen Jensen.

She attended the University of Utah, where she met her future husband, Mr. Arthur Pratt.

They married in 1936 and together they had three sons, Bill, Doug, and Jerry.

Art passed away at the age of 43, and she then raised her three sons alone while working full time to support her young family and pay the mortgage.

In 1967 Ruth married James G. Macey.

They had 36 years of a happy marriage, enjoying camping, gardening and especially fishing.

Ruth could cast a fly out onto the river and it would usually go right where she planned.

Jim passed away in 2003, when she again was widowed.

Ruth was a caring, lovely and special person, always living with gratitude, and will be missed greatly.

She is survived by her three sons, and a brother, Larry Greenwood. By her choice, she wishes not to have a memorial service.
