Betty was the daughter of Frank Gibson YOUNG and his wife Dorothy Louise LEWIS.

She was truly a beautiful woman inside and outside. Unfortunately her life was filled with tragedy and sadness.

She first married Harry ("Lou") Louis HINDS his name on his birth certificate was BERKMAN but he legally changed it to HINDS after his true biological father. Betty and Lou got married April 21, 1948 in Tijuana, Mexico. They had two sons. Their youngest son, Ricky Allen HINDS, died when he was 6 years old. Ricky was paralyzed from muscular dystrophy most of his life. Betty and Lou divorced not too long after April 1958.

Betty married her second husband Bernard ("Bernie") George FOLKER on July 17, 1966 in the City of Los Angeles, California. Betty and Bernie had one daughter, Kristine Marie FOLKER who died when she was 8 years old after a four year long battle with cancer. During the years they were fighting their daughters cancer Bernie was paralyzed in a car accident.

On Nov. 13, 1985 (which was her only grandchild's 18th birthday), Betty suffered a brain aneurysm and went into a coma. She died 8 days later.
