Ronald “Ron” Wojta of Town of Richmond, Shawano went home to be with his Lord on November 6, 2016. Ron was born June 14, 1934 in Two Rivers, WI. It was Flag Day and Ron always told the kids they put the flag out for his birthday. He was the oldest son of the late Ignatz and Angeline (Taddy) Wojta. Ron attended St. Luke’s Catholic Grade School and graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1952. Ron played and managed softball teams for many years while living in Two Rivers. He also played the trumpet and had his own 7 piece old time band for 12 years. After giving up the orchestra, he still played with other bands on occasion. In addition to these past times he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. On March 6, 1970, Ron married his best friend, sweetheart, companion, and helper, the former Lea Ann Cline in Menominee, MI. For the next 46 years they worked together in all aspects of family and business life, always working as a team. Ron was a Master Builder and masonry contractor for 46 years. From 1950 to 1970 he worked for his father’s company. On October 1, 1970 Ron and Lea Ann moved to the White Clay Lake area in Shawano County, taking over his father’s business and in 1981 moved the business to Shawano. Ron retired in 1990 for health reasons, but continued to enjoy helping his children, neighbors, and friends with building projects.

Ron is survived by his wife Lea Ann; six children, Sue (Andrew) Zipperer of Green Bay, Guy (Samantah) Wojta of Green Bay, Lealisa (Robert) Stefl of Madison, Grant (Tara) Wojta of Shawano, Ross (Amanda) Wojta of Black Creek, Luke (Carime) Wojta of Shawano. He is further survived by his sister, Marilyn (Robert) Henrickson of Two Rivers; two sisters-in-law, Sharon Wojta of Two Rivers and Virginia Goetsch of Burlington; seventeen grandchildren and many other loving relatives and friends.

Friends and family are invited to gather in celebration of Ron’s life. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano with Rev. Marty Black officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
