Kenneth Ernest Adams age 78, of Bimble, Kentucky was born on
February 4, 1938 in Knox County, Kentucky. He was a son of the late Ernest W. Adams and Patty E. Hall Adams. Kenneth died Wednesday, November 9, 2016 in the Appalachian Regional Hospital in Barbourville.

Kenneth was the owner and operator of Blue Gem Coal Company. He was in the coal industry from 1961 to 1988. He served in the United States Air Force for four years, was a Mason and member of Mountain Lodge #187 F&AM and was a Kentucky Colonel.

On July 7, 1960, he united in marriage to Wilma Callihan and to this union two sons were born.

Along with his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by;
his brother, Foley Adams, brothers-in-law, Ronnie Callihan
Denny Miller, Gene Bannister and Norm Dittrich.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Callihan Adams of Bimble;
sons; Kenneth Adams Jr. and wife, Sharon; Mark Adams and
wife, Gynger all of Bimble; grandchildren; Kendra Englehart
and husband, Nick; Tyler Adams and wife, Brittany;
Justin Adams and wife, Kimber; Josh Adams, Chelsea Adams
and Will Adams; great grandchildren; Ellie Kae Englehart
and Emma Claire Adams who is on her way in December;
two sisters; Gwen Bannister of Trinidad, Colorado; Karen
Miller of Barbourville; brothers, Hobart Adams and wife,
Faye of Barbourville;and David Adams of Harlan, Kentucky;
sisters-in-law; Genetta Pugh and husband Bill of
Tennessee; and Rose Adams of Bimble; brother-in-law;
H.M. Callihan and wife, Beth of Barbourville;
and many other family members and friends.

There will be graveside services conducted in the
Callihan Family Cemetery at Bimble, Friday, November
11, 2016 at 2:00pm, with Rev. Dennis Chesnut officiating.
Those serving as pallbearers will be: Tyler Adams, Justin Adams, Josh Adams, Will Adams, Zach Callihan, Nick Englehart, Jeffrey Adams and Shea Miller.

Hopper Funeral Home will be in charge
of all arrangements.
