The PEI Government Archives' Baptismal Records show Hugh Campbell was born Oct 22 1832 in New London [Capes?], PEI and baptized Dec 30 1834 by Rev A.V.G Wiggins in the Church of England, Richmond Parish, PEI.

Hugh drowned during the October Gale of 1860 when the "Eyo" foundered during the storm.
