Grace M. Meyer, age 78, a resident of the Gardens at the Felician Village, Manitowoc, and formerly of Two Rivers and Racine, entered eternal life on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Aurora Medical Center in Two Rivers. Grace was born on May 3, 1938 in Two Rivers to the late Peter and Julia (Landowski) Koprowski. She graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers with the class of 1956. Grace continued her education at St. Mary's School of Nursing - Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She furthered her education by receiving her B.S. degree in Social Work from Carroll College in Waukesha. Grace had been employed as a nurse in medical positions including psychology, supervision, and education at hospitals in Two Rivers, Seattle, West Allis, Milwaukee, and Racine. She completed her working career as an instructor at Gateway Technical College until her retirement in 1998. Her passion had always been in service to others, including helping and supporting abused and underprivileged women and children. Grace enjoyed travelling, reading, skiing, golfing, playing cards, creating art. In retirement, she volunteered at various schools and organizations in the Lakeshore area.Survivors include two brothers: John (Brenda) Koprowski, Two Rivers, and Don (Nancy) Koprowski, Laguna Beach, CA; a special cousin and friend Jane Koprowski Hurst and her children, Ryan Hurst, Eureka, CA and Katie Brennan, Manitowoc; nieces and nephews Derek (Maren) Slickman, Two Rivers, Don (Susan) Slickman, Richfield, Kristin (Andy) Koprowski Darling and family, Lake Forest, CA, and Casey Koprowski, Laguna Beach, CA. Other relatives and friends also survive. Grace was preceded in death by her parents and niece Kay Carron Koprowski.Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 19 at Blessed Angela Chapel at Felician Village, Manitowoc, with Pastor Kim Henning officiating. A reception will follow the service. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel.
