Mrs. George B. Crichfield, passed away at the Brokaw Hospital at 3:55 o'clock on thursday afternoon, follow a month's illness.

Bertha Reinken was born in Germany on June 30, 1882, daughter of Reinke H. and Trientje Reinken. She came to this country as a small child and settled in Benson, Illinois, where she spent her childhood days. She was graduated from the public schools and high school of Benson.

She was united in marriage to George R. Crichfield on January 9, 1901, and to this union five children were born, Gladys, Elza, Edith, and Florence, still at home, and Mrs. Olive Brown of Hudson.

Her father preceded her in death on January 1, 1926.

Besides her children she is survived by her mother, three sisters, Mrs. Henry Fields of Palmer, Iowa, Mrs. Albert Whitman of Cross Plains, Indiana, and Mrs. Herschell Smilie of Benson; and four brothers, Henry Reinken of Benson, William Reinken of Roanoke, Hilbert Reinken of Maryland, and Frank Reinken of Peoria.

Mrs. Crichfield was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Normal Camp of the Royal Neighbors of America.
