Okey Sue Allen, 70, of Roanoke VA, formerly of Princeton, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, died Saturday, October 8, 2016. Born February 17, 1946 in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Oke H. Sanders and Margaret Irene Elmore Sanders. Mrs. Allen was a graduate of Princeton High School. She was retired from Kroger supermarket in Roanoke, Virginia. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church in Roanoke. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Kaye Heltsley; and one brother, Buford “Buddy” Sanders.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years, William Donald Allen; one daughter, Alice Taylor Tucker of Roanoke, VA; one son, Mark Antony Sanders of Bluefield; two sisters, Mary Lou Gates and Robert of West Palm Coast, FL and Ruth Ann Galate and Charles of Poluan, GA; one brother, Douglas R. “Buck” Sanders of Bowling Green, VA.
Interment will follow at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Lashmeet. (www.bailey-kirk.com)
