Clemmie was the daughter of Frances Etta Stem and Thomas Jefferson Wheeler of Rutherford Co. Tn. The wife of James Anderson Simmons. Jim came back after the WWI and married
Clemmie, the girl he left behind in 1919. They had a farm on Center Church Rd and continued to farm for serval years. Their health began to declind and moved into Shelbyville. They had one son, James A. Simmons, Jr.,1926-1927 after 16 Months he passed away. He is buried at Center Church Cemetery.
