Archie B. Parten, 84, of 18 Royston Homes died Sunday, Nov. 3, 1996. A native of Franklin County, Mr. Parten was a son of the late Obediah and Nellie Carey Parten. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold Parten, John Parten and Jim Parten, and two sisters, Mertha Parten and Mattie Lee Smith. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. today at Pruitte Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dennis Kesler officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family is at the home of Bill and Brenda Seagraves, 1795 Hale Crossing Road, Royston.
