Edna was born in Fal, La., on Oct. 20, 1920, and grew up in DeQuincy, La.
She married John Palermo and moved to Lake Charles, La.
After the passage of her husband in 1987, she moved to El Dorado Palms MHP in Yucaipa to live close to her son John E. Palermo and to enjoy her grandson Chad M. Palmero and his family - wife Viktoria and their daughter Sarah of San Diego.
She grew to love the climate and sights of Southern California, her new home, as well as her neighbors Dee Roberts, Rioh and Linda Hewer, who visited and assisted her from time to time. She loved her outings to San Diego, the Eastern Sierras, Palm Springs, local parks and lunches and dinners out with her son and his wife Ginger.
Edna was known for her sweet, kind and pleasant smile. She loved to sew, keep house and cook for her family.
She was a Christian who loved the Lord and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She is survived by her son John Palermo and his wife Ginger of Yucaipa; grandson Chad Palermo and his spouse Viktoria Palermo and great-granddaughter Sarah M. Palermo of San Diego.
Mrs. Palermo's funeral service was held in Lake Charles, La. and conducted by Pastor John Astling of University Baptist Church, Lake Charles. Interment was held at Prien Memorial Park where Mrs. Palermo was laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
