George Lindbergh Tilton
Born December 12, 1927 in Deerfield, New Hampshire and passed away April 6, 2014 in University Place, Washington.

George joined the Army in 1950, met and married Dorothy Field in 1951 while stationed at Fort Lewis and served as a supply Sergeant during the Korean Conflict. George spent 8 years to work in Civil Service for 24 years.

After retiring from Civil Service he went to work as a self employed master woodworker, working harder for the next 30 years than ever before. He built, remodeled homes for friends and, as well as building some of the most incredible things out of wood. He loved to work with all kinds of wood and gave everything he made to others. He was also very active volunteering at Meeker, Spanaway Historical Society, and the Boy and Girl Scouts.

George was preceded in death by his son Steve T. Tilton. He is survived by his former wife; Dorothy, son and daughter as well as 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. There will be no funeral service per George's wishes. Arrangements entrusted to Fir Lane Funeral Home & Memorial Park.
