Delmer Ahrens, 58, of 2806 20th St., died at Columbus Community Hospital, after a lengthly illness.
Funeral services at St. Bonaventure Church with Rev.Flavius Czuba officiating.
Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery.
The son of Edward and Anna (Mueller) Ahrens, he was born March 22, 1922 in Columbus and attended Columbus High School. He married Arlene Brinkman Oct. 26, 1947 in Columbus.
Ahrens was the manager of Polly Shoe Store in Columbus for 32 years. An US Army Air Force veteran, he served in the European theater during World War II from 1942 to 1947. He was a member of the American Legion and St. Bonaventure Church.
Ahrens was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife Arlene; mother-in-law, Kunie Brinkman, a sister Mrs. Ed(Mildred) Guenther and a brother
Orville Ahrens, all of Columbus.
