BRINKMAN--Anton Brinkman, 75, dies Monday; funeral Thursday
Anton H. Brinkman, 75, of 2806 20th street, died Monday night at St. Mary hospital. He has been ill the past year.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Bonaventure church, with burial in St. Bonaventure cemetery. The body is to lie in state after 1 p.m. Wednesday at McKown Funeral Home, where rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The son of Henry and Anna Honkomp Brinkman, he was born Aug. 7, 1892, at Petersburg, Ia. He attended Spalding academy, and college at Prairie du Chien, Wis.
Mr. Brinkman was married to Kunie Henn June 30, 1915, at David City. They had resided in Columbus since 1941.
He was a member of St. Bonaventure church.
Surviving are his wife; daughter, Mrs. Delmer (Arlene) Ahrens, Columbus; and sister, Mrs. A.F. Brown, Columbus.
His parents preceded him in death.
