Robert L. Duescher, age 81, of 1614 Cherry Road, Manitowoc, died on Thursday morning, November 17, 2016 at his residence.

Bob was born on January 28, 1935 in Wrightstown, son of the late Lawrence and Irene (Holewinski) Duescher. He graduated with the class of 1952 from Wrightstown High School and UW Madison in 1957 with a degree as a Pharmacist. Bob served in the U. S. Army as a First Lieutenant in Anchorage Alaska from 1958-1961. On September 15, 1958, he married the former Margaret A. "Mugs" VanWychen at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Wrightstown. Bob was a part owner of North End Drug for many years as a pharmacist until his retirement. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and was an avid Badger and Packer fan.

He is survived by his wife: Margaret A. "Mugs" Duescher, Manitowoc; his three sons and two daughters-in-law: Mark and Tracy Duescher, Manitowoc; Mike and Leigh Duescher, Manitowoc; Dean Duescher, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Darcy and Joe Koss, Waunakee; eight grandchildren: Ryan Duescher and his girlfriend Amanda, Chicago; Megan Duescher, Manitowoc; Evan and Amber Disher, Brown Deer; Jacob Duescher, Manitowoc; Kassi and Tyler Duchow, Valders; Benjamin Koss, Waunakee; Addison Koss, Waunakee; Julia Koss, Waunakee; one great grandchild: Brecken Disher, Brown Deer; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ruth and Herb Kalies; Kenny and Mary VanWychen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Lawrence and Irene Duescher; one brother-in-law; Wayne VanWychen.

Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand, 1416 Grand Avenue, Manitowoc. The Rev. David Beaudry will celebrate the Mass, with burial of his cremated remains to take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:00 a.m. The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with arrangements.
