Clarence D. Shubert died Saturday, July 15, 2000, at his residence. He was 91.
Mr. Shubert was a World War II veteran, serving as a sergeant in the Army. He was a member of the Chamberlain Memorial Baptist Church and was retired from self-employed watchmaking.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Raymond Chaney Sr.; and sister Mattie Chaney Weaver.

Survivors include his nieces, Polly Mary Lane, East Ridge, and Vivian Lorentz, Chattanooga.

A graveside service will be today at 1:30 p.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Thom Guinn officiating. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are by Turner Funeral Homes.
