Moses was a son of Phillip Haseltine and Patience Rowell Haseltine (var. spelling Hazeltine).

Moses married Mary Morrison of Northwood, NH, married on October 14, 1809 in Northwood, NH by Josiah Prentice, clergyman.

"He was a carpenter and house-builder, spent some ten years in Manchester, the resided in Windham.

Moses was a staunch patriot and named his sons after the patriots of the country."
