Patricia (“Pat”) Louise Lehner, a loving and devoted wife, mother, and daughter, passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones at 9:35 a.m. on Wednesday August 3, 2016.

She was born on August 21, 1940 to John Murphy Brown Sr. and Lois Louise Brown.

Pat spent all of her childhood in Birmingham where she had a natural talent for spelling and music and taught herself to play the piano fluently.

Once she came of age, Pat attended Woodlawn High School where she was the only one of her siblings to graduate with a diploma.

Shortly after graduating high school, she married Jack Wayne Lehner on April 14, 1960. Upon return from their honeymoon, Pat moved into an apartment with her husband in Tuscaloosa where she worked as a medical secretary in a local hospital.

Then, they moved to Palm Beach County in Florida where Pat worked as a secretary for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. Following this, Pat moved to Huntsville with her husband where she worked as a secretary in the aerospace industry. During her stay in Huntsville, she gave birth to Sharon on July 17, 1963 and to Lisa on May 28, 1970. About four years after Lisa’s birth, Pat and her family moved to Chattanooga where she worked for the Tennessee Valley Authorities (TVA) as a secretary. From there, she moved back to Huntsville and devoted most of her time to being a loving mother to her family and helping many friends with her knowledge of medicine and illnesses.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents: John and Lois Brown, her brother: John Murphy Brown, Jr., her sister: Dorothy Elizabeth MacDonald, and her nephew: James Edward Blair.

Pat is survived by her husband: Jack Wayne Lehner, her daughters: Sharon Kay Coggins (William) and Lisa Carol Eiberger, and her grandson: Justin David Coggins.
