Kay Cavanaugh, age 77, a resident of Neenah, entered eternal life on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at her residence.
Kay was born on August 30, 1939 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Ruth Laack Cavanaugh and the late Woodrow Cavanaugh. Kay attended Lincoln High School and graduated with the class of 1958. She continued her education at the University of Wisconsin Madison at the School of Pharmacy from where she graduated in 1962. After college, Kay interned at Milwaukee Children's Hospital followed by employment at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc. She later became employed at Theda Care Pharmacy (Appleton Medical Center Pharmacy) from where she retired in 2000. After retiring, Kay worked at Theda Care Long Term Care in the pharmacy for two years. Kay was a member of the Wisconsin Pharmaceutical Society, American Association of University of Women, Wisconsin Alumni Association, Winnebago Dog Club, Oshkosh Dog Club, Irish Terrier Club of Chicago, the Irish Terrier Club of America, and St. Gabriel Parish in Neenah and their reading group.
Kay is survived by her mother: Ruth Cavanaugh, Menasha; many cousins and her cherished companions, Rosie and Bronson.
It was Kay's wishes to not have any visitation or funeral services. Her cremated remains will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory, North 11th and St. Clair streets, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
