Gary William Bandy was the second of two sons born to Helen Frances Anderson and Vernon William Bandy. He was joined in marriage to Carol A. née Rea on December 3, 1966 in Los Angeles, California. They were divorced in October of 1971, In Los Angeles. He then married Tomi Sue née Beard on January 24, 1976 in Los Angeles, California. Together they had two? children. He loved motorcycles, and was well known for his large collection of World War 2 German helmets and militaria.
