Mrs. Betty Lee Powell, age 65, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016, at Williamson Medical Center.

Betty was born July 18, 1951, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of the late Marion Estes Gray and Rosie Lee LeMay Gray. On February 25, 1973 she married Kenneth Powell and they shared 43 years together. Betty was a homemaker and was an avid UT football fan. She loved to pass her time with adult coloring books. She was a loving wife and mother and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Most of all, she loved her Lord. Betty was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Allen Lee Powell, her first husband, Harold Dean King and brothers, Sterling Gray, Ed Gray and James Gray.

Funeral services for Betty will be conducted Friday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with Randy Kersey and Stephen Kelley officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday, November 23, from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
