Death of Mrs. Vrooman.

Mrs. Sarah B. Vrooman, wife of Judge H.P. Vrooman, of this city, died of a dyspeptic trouble at 5 o'clock last Wednesday evening at Worcester, Mass., after a long illness. She was born at Camden, N.J., September 15, 1839, and married Judge Vrooman at Kalamazoo, Mich., February 20, 1862. Her husband and six sons survive her.

A few months ago, the majority of the sons removed to the New England states, the oldest being called to the pastorate of Salem street church at Worcester.

Mrs. Vrooman had a strong desire to go east in order to be near her children, and accordingly left her home in this city on a bed, on the 19th of November, and in this way was conveyed to her new home. It was thought the change of air would be beneficial, and for a time she seemed to improve, but after a while she became unable to take nourishing food and gradually failed until her death occurred.

About a year and a half ago, Mrs. Vrooman began to complain of stomach trouble, and since that time she has hardly known what it is to enjoy good healt.

The sons are Rev. F.B, Harry C., Walter, Hiram, Carl and Roy.

The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon. - [Kansas City Gazette.

Judge Vrooman and family were residents of Council Grove for several years. While living here Mrs. Vrooman made many friends, all of whom will deeply regret to learn of her death. Mr. J.K. Owens, of this city, is her niece. We extend to the family, with whom we are well acquainted, our heartfelt sympathy in their bereavement.
