Dr. H. Paul Aguillon of Seaford passed away on Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 13, 1936 in Bogota, Colombia, the son of the late Hipolito and Cristina Aguillon.
Dr. Aguillon graduated from Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogota, Colombia. In 1964, he came to Paramus, New Jersey to complete his residency. He then came to Seaford and had a practice there from 1966 to 1973. From there, he went to Washington Hospital Center to do a rotation in surgery, as cardio thoracic surgery was his specialty.
While in Seaford, he met his wife Joyce in 1972 and they have been together ever since - 44 years.
He returned to Seaford in 1986 and he opened a family practice, walk-in clinic and served the Seaford community from 1986 until August 2015 when he retired and turned his practice over to his son.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce L. Aguillon, his children, Angela Meredith (Jeff), Dr. Paul A. Aguillon (Marylu), Erica Aguillon, and Leslie Aguillon; grandchildren, Cohen Meredith and Olivia Meredith. His wife, children, and grandchildren were the loves of his life. He is also survived by his siblings, Linda Martinez, Magdalena Barreto, Dellys Aguillon, Luz Angela Aguillon, and Hugo Aguillon.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Alvaro Aguillon, and sister Yolanda Klaila.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Nov. 28, 2016 at 11 AM at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 532 E. Stein Hwy., Seaford.
Friends may call at the Cranston Funeral Home, 300 N. Shipley St., Seaford on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM.
Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery....
