Ernest A. Abrecht, III, 79, of Williamsport, MD died peacefully at Meritus Medical Center on Friday, November 25, 2016. He was born January 22, 1937 in Frederick, MD to the late Eva Elizabeth and Ernest A. Abrecht, Jr. Beloved husband of Nancy B. Abrecht; father of Debra Pastor and Carol Abrecht; grandfather of Austin James McManus; brother of Stephen Abrecht.
Ernie worked as a service supervisor for the Frederick/Washington Gas Company for 43 years. Ernie loved to go on cruises with his wife Nancy of 58 years and everyone he met loved his sense of humor.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Tuesday, November 29 from 4-6 pm where funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 11 am. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Mt. Airy. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
