SERVICES SET FOR WILLIAM L. HENDERSON

William Lawrence (Fatty) Henderson, age 68, died in Wagoner Community Hospital on Sunday, May 30, 1965.

Born in Kentucky in 1896, he moved to Cherokee County (Indian Territory), Oklahoma in 1904 at the age of 8 years, he then came to Wagoner, Oklahoma in 1947. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Oliver (Gott) Henderson; three sons, Jack Henderson of Wagoner, William Lawrence Henderson, Jr. of the U.S. Navy stationed in Norfolk, Virginia and Omer Henderson, also of Wagoner; two daughters, Mrs. Owen (Cherry) Norwood of Vancouver, Washington and Mrs. Katherine Bufurd of Wagoner; a brother, W.L. Henderson of Hulbert, Oklahoma; two sisters, Mrs. Doomie Garman and Mrs. Hester Wilson, both of Wagoner; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 3pm Saturday in the Pentecostal Holiness Church with former pastor, William J. Moore, and current pastor, Melvin Garrison, officiating.

Burial will be in (North) Ray Cemetery located inside Sequoyah State Park under the direction of Mallett-Green Funeral Home of Wagoner.

Active pallbearers will be his nephews, Jay and John Henderson, Ivan Moss, Hugh L. Wilson, A.P. Weeden and Owen Norwood,Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Arnold, Jess Cochran, Charley Hathcock, Frank Nicholas, Roy Hathcock and Loyal (Red) Kyle.
