Ida Mae was born April 22, 1939, in Hamlet, Ind., to Ivan and Valda (Hendricks) Singleton, and lived in the area all of her life. She was a former waitress at Welco Truck Stop in Walkerton, a former member of the Moose Lodge of Plymouth, and the bowling league in Walkerton.
In January of 1959 at Koontz Lake, Ind., she was married to Bert Bogard, who preceded her in death. On July 12, 1976, in Walkerton, Ind., she was married to Eugene “Huck” Roberson Jr., who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Allen Bogard and Louis Howard; two brothers, George Singleton and Jim Singleton; and four sisters, Doris Singleton, Romona Everly, Phyllis Singleton and Glenna Hahn.
Survivors include seven sons, Richard (Karen) Bogard, Edward (Ann) Bogard, George (Shelly) Bogard, Robert (Stacy) Bogard, Phillip Bogard, Johnny (Emma) Roberson and Eugene Roberson III; three daughters, Lucille Roberson, Lisa McKinnon and Jacqueline (Joe) Mack; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Velma Phenis; and one brother, Larry (Lena) Singleton.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at 12 noon (Eastern Time) at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton. Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET and Tuesday one hour prior to the services.
