Raanah Louise Aanestad was born December 9, 1952, in Grand Forks, ND to the Rev. Ragnvald and Leora Aanestad. Shedied October 16, 2016 in Federal Way, Washington.
She lived in Grand Forks, ND and White Earth Lake, MN with her parents. She moved to Fergus Falls, MN for work and resided with the Rev. Lauren and Norma Youngdale. In 1992 she moved to Federal Way, WA to be near her parents and lived with her sister Lonnie. She worked for 17 years at the Safeway Store. She was involved in Special Olympics and won a number of medals in biking and bowling. She was a member of the Friendship Theater and appeared in productions of Grease, Thoroughly Modern Millie and The Music Man. She lived her last months at Life Care Center of Federal Way, WA.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, her sister Rachel andher brother Roald. She is survived by sister Lonnie McWilliams of Federal Way, sister and brother-in-law Rebecca and James Brislin of Savage, MN, brother D. Rolf Aanestad of Waubun, MN and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews and members of her "Lake Family".
A memorial service will be held on December 10th, 2016 at 1:00PM at Christ Lutheran Church in Federal Way. A gravesite service will be held next summer in Minnesota. Memorials may be given to Christ Lutheran Church, 2501 SW 320th Street, Federal Way, WA 98023 or a charity of choice.
