Earl was the husband of Florence Tuttle and they were parents to four sons. He was a very successful business man and for many years he and his wife were owners of a gas station, where they also did minor car repairs and maintainence, had a motel and cabins for weary travelers and a portion of their gas station maintained a grocery department. They were very well liked in the area and it was a substantial loss to the community when they were forced to shut down their business because of Earl's ill health. This is when they moved to Arizonia for the sake of his health. He was a veteran of World War 11.
