James Monroe Brown was born on February 9, 1929 and passed away on November 28, 2016 at the age of 87.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his daughter, Sondra K. Wilkins; his parents, Ernest and Dessa Brown; six brothers and 6 sisters.

He survived by his daughter, his former wife, two brothers, sister, seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friend on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 at Gassett Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery.
