Passed away Saturday, June 11th 2016 at the age of 21. He was born February 11, 1995 in Kalamazoo to Patricia Harrington. Shawn had a love of life and loved his family, friends and loved to play his Guitar. Shawn was also known by his friends as the person to always make them laugh with some funny story and was also known to be first to befriend a new student at school. He was always there to help a friend. Shawn was a very talented artist and had a tattoo, which he drew himself, on his forearm in honor of his mother. Shawn was working full time at Arvo and was scheduled to Start KVCC on June 25th for Heating and Cooling classes. Shawn I hope you are at peace now and we miss you so much. We love you. Shawn is survived by his mother, Patricia “Patty" Harrington-Szlanfucht and his Step Father Dale Szlanfucht; a brother, Austin Harrington; Great Grandmother: Mary Lou Peck, Grandmother and Grandfather Carolyn & David Lynn and Steve & Denah Harrington and Jack and Shirley Szlanfucht and Uncle Andrew Harrington and Cousin Chloee Harrington, Uncle Mike Szlanfucht and David and Jennifer Szlanfucht, cousins Hailey and Reagan Szlanfucht and family members: Don and Mary Machan and many other extended family members. Cremation has taken place. No visitation or services are scheduled. The family is being served by the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St.
