Broadus was 63 when he died at a local hospital on Thursday after a brief illness.
Native of Greenville County and son of Perry Barnett and Anna Cassandra Turner Barnett and had lived in Henderson County since 1960. He was a building contractor and member of First Baptist Church of East Flat Rock.
He is survived by his wife, Bertha McPeters Barnett.
