Obituary for James Cooper:
James William Cooper, 82, passed away November 28, 2016 at Lee’s Summit Hospital. Jim was born March 23, 1934 in Pleasant Hill, MO., son of Ira Cooper and Mary Ellen (Carroll) Cooper. Jim attended Pleasant Hill schools and served 4 years in the US Navy. He was united in marriage to Dorothy (Clenton) Foote on May 27, 1955, she passed away in 2006. He was united in married to Zenaida (Cindy) on January 3, 2007. He was an avid sports fan and coached little league baseball teams in Lee’s Summit area. He planted a large garden every year and he loved to hunt mushrooms. Jim was discharged from the Navy and went to work for Bendex, until he retired. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Emily Cooper; two brothers, Clifford and Lloyd Cooper; three sisters, Ethel Foote, Irene Spainhour, Lois Constable; five stepbrothers; and three stepsisters. He is survived by his wife, Zenaida (Cindy) Cooper of the home; son, Larry E. Foote of Independence, MO. ; stepsister, Deloris Neinueserd, of Southern MO.; sister-in-law, Betty Cooper of Lone Jack, MO.; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday December 1 at Langsford Funeral Home at 11am, visitation from 9:30-11am. Services will be led by Pastor Gary Snowden. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
