Donald J. Finnegan, age 79 of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Joan Marie Fico Finnegan, peacefully passed away at his residence on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Born in Bridgeport on September 1, 1937, he was a son of the late Daniel A. and Florence Farrell Finnegan. Don proudly served in the U.S. Army in Germany, as well as a former member of the Knights of Columbus Council 16. Don retired as a dump truck driver from Burns Construction Company in Stratford. He was a member of the Local 665 Laborers Union and some of his happiest times and memories were always of his time spent at Burns. Don was also a dedicated fan of the UCONN Huskies, where he would schedule his days and nights around all their games.
