This little girl was with me for 15 years. She had a mind of her own and tolerated me fairly well. She absolutely hated going outside when it was wet or cold, but who wouldn't. When she was three years old, I realized that she was lonely so I was lucky to find Mr. Cooper to keep her company. Coop was smaller than Sadie when he arrived and as he grew, Sadie made sure he knew who the boss was and it wasn't him.
In July 2014, Coop took his leave of this world and I could tell Sadie missed him terribly. Six months later, she joined her old friend. She was 15 and her body just started to fail her.
I had both Coop and Sadie all their lives and was so lucky to have them. In their memory, I now only adopt older dogs who have fallen on hard times.
I miss you Sadie Mae, and love you still.
