Mrs. Dixie Lou Colbert Hunter was born September 24, 1928 in Barbour county, Alabama in the Springhill Community.

She was born to the late Sanford and Rosa Comer Colbert. She is the fifth of six children, all of whom preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hunter confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Springhill Zion Baptist Church where she remained faithfully until her health began to fail her and she could no longer attend.
