Cathy was born November 22, 1953 in Oak Park, the daughter of William and Betty Frances Bradley Schuerman. Her father preceded her in death in 1968.
Cathy graduated from Southeast High School in 1974. Travelling was one of her favorite activities. She enjoyed going on cruises, and traveled across the entire United States with her mother. She loved working jigsaw puzzles, crafting, beadwork, listening to polka music, and watching game shows. She thought of others as she often gave them her finished projects or sent cards and letters to keep in touch. She was also a member of POLK of A.
Cathy is survived by her mother, Betty F. Schuerman of Springfield; her sister, Sally S. (husband, William) Johnson of Crest Hill; her brother, Robert William (wife, Irene) Schuerman of Springfield; her aunt Shirley Deines of Paris, TN; one niece, three nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Cremation will be accorded by Butler Cremation Tribute Center. A Memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 15, 2008 at Kirlin-Egan and Butler Funeral Home, Springfield with Rev. Philip Witkop and Rev. Wellington Witkop, officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
