Bradley William Phillips, 59, of Pigeon Forge, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2016. A native of Alexandria, VA, he and his beloved wife of 35 years, Melanie, fulfilled their dream of living near the mountains of East Tennessee, and relocated in October 2016 to a beautiful home in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. In retirement he looked forward to establishing roots in his new community, sharing his love of music, history, and animals. A gifted musician, he played saxophone in the U.S. Army Band for 21 years, followed by a 16-year career as a licensed electrician with Ennis Electric. He also played the piano and the hammered dulcimer that he hand built using museum drawings. Brad was a gentle spirit, kind, generous and a caring friend to anyone needing help or a listening ear. He delighted all who knew him with a keen wit and his unforgettably infectious laugh.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Caralyn Phillips of Alexandria, and is survived by his wife, daughter, sister, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Citizens National Bank to the Gatlinburg and Sevier County Relief Fund, 200 Forks of the River Parkway Sevierville, TN 37862 or the Tennessee Volunteers After Disasters, tnvoad.shutterfly.com, are also welcoming donations to support those affected by the East Tennessee fires.

A graveside service is being held at 2PM Thursday, December 8, at Middle Creek Cemetery with military honors provided by American Legion Post #104. Arrangements are in the care of Atchley Funeral Home, Sevierville.
