Gloria was born on April 10, 1946 to the late Lester & Juanita (Rose) Addington in Kingsport, TN.
Gloria enjoyed the simple things in life, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets. She was a strong, independent woman who loved to please other people. Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Addington.
Gloria is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, William "Bill" Hillman; daughter, Amy Wilkinson; step-daughter, Alicia Frazier; sister, Delores Healey; granddaughter, Bella Rayne Wilkinson; step-granddaughter, Courtney Dingus; step-grandson, Dustin Frazier; three step-grandchildren, Keelan Melons, Sebastian Dingus, and Ellora Dingus; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear friends.
A graveside service for family and friends will be held on Friday (November 11, 2016) at 1 p.m. in the Christus Garden at East Lawn Memorial Park officiated by Chaplain Tom Edwards.
The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to the staff of Amedysis Home Health & Hospice, the staff of Wilcox Hall (W3), and a special thank you to Dr. Eric Schwartz for the compassionate care given to Gloria during her final days.
