Lloyd D. Acup, 74, passed away 10:15 a.m., Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Eunice Smith Nursing Home in Alton.

Born in Rosewood Heights on June 2, 1942, he was the son of Josh E. and Eunice (Beatty) Acup.

He had been a Group Leader in the Winchester Division of the Olin Corporation for 42 years before retiring.

Lloyd married Linda L. Williams on June 13, 1998 in Rosewood Heights. She survives.

Surviving also are three sons, Ron (Tracy) Acup of Plato, MO, Jeff (Cheryl) Acup of Maroa, IL, Christopher (Jenny) Williams of South Roxana; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a brother, Earl Ray (Dayna) Acup of Taylorville.

His parents and a sister, Doris June Mugler preceded in death.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 6 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Michael Southcombe will officiate.

Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
