Funeral servies were held from the First Baptist Church for the former Wanda Jean Marsee. Mrs. Carmon, who was 18, died at the Air Force Base hospital at Scott Firld, Ill, following a few hours' illness. Death was caused by adrenal gland infection. Burial was in the Albany Cemetery.

A large number of relatives and friends were present for the funeral. Mrs. Carmon was a popular member of the class of 1950 of Albany high school, of which she was a honor student.

Wanda Jean was born December 23, 1932, in Woodson and came to Shackelford county with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. H. Marsee, March 15, 1937.

She was a 1950 honor graduate of Albany High School, and was a member of the Hme economics club, Junior Historians Camera club and Commercial club.

She was married to Pfc. James William Carmon Dec. 20, 1950, at the home of the late Rev. Henry M. Weldon in Abilene. Mr. Carmon was home on Christmas furlough when they married and the couple returned to Scott Field, Ill., where he was stationed, taking training in a communications school.
