Geraldine Lowers of Morrisville passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016 surrounded by family. She was 72.
Gerrie was born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 30, 1944 to the late John Felix and Margaret Mary (Malo) Guzik. Moving to Parkland,Bucks County,Pa when she was in grade school. Attended Our Lady Of Grace;Penndel, Bishop Egan High School & Neshaminy High School. Class of 1963. Along with her mother, They were two of the original founding members of the Women's Grand Auxiliary 2489 Fraternal Order Of Eagles. Gerrie was also a Past Madam President for FOE 2489 in the 1970's.
Gerrie was an avid NASCAR (Jeff Gordon) fan and enjoyed watching races and golf on TV. Throughout her life she also enjoyed bowling. She was on many bowling teams in the Levittown area, along with her mother Margaret Guzik. She also enjoyed playing bingo and scratch off tickets.
She was employed at Helene Fuld Medical Center in the 1980's then Donahue's Quality Carpet until several years ago. She loved spending time with her Granddaughter, Victoria Lowers and her fiance whom lived with her, and her beloved dog Peanut.
Gerrie is survived by her five children, John Lowers and his girlfriend Dawn, Citrus Springs, Fla, Deborah DeNofa and her late husband Nick,Fairless Hills, Who passed on the same day shortly after Gerrie. Kimber Lowers;Morrisville, Terry Lowers and his wife Jennifer ;Fairless Hills, Louis S Ward IV and his wife Sharon; Trevose, 13 grandchildren, one great grandchild. Gerrie is also survived by 3 sisters, Marcia(Clem)Saxon,Jackson,Tenn, Helen(Bob)Hawkins;Rifle COl, and Valerie (Arnold) Guadagno;Tenn ,One aunt; Helen (Bess) Orgero of Pittsburgh as well as many nieces and nephews. Gerrie was predeceased by her late husband, Terry E Lowers Sr in 2005, Whom she married Apr 09,1966 in Elkton Maryland.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
