John was born November 3,1913 in Latrobe Pa. He was born to Frank Andora & Anna Katherine Kopetsky. When John was 5 years old, His father Frank was struck by a train at the Beatty station in Latrobe,Pa and killed. Leaving John and a younger brother Walter, along with his pregnant wife Anna behind. Anna then married a man named Joseph Guzik. And decided to raise the boys with the Guzik name.
