SP5 John Willie Blackwell was a member of the Army. SP5 Blackwell served our country until April 6th, 1969 in Kontum, South Vietnam. He was 21 years old and was not married. It was reported that John died when his vehicle crashed. His body was recovered. SP5 Blackwell is on panel 27W, line 027 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one year.

He served with Charlie Company, Troop Command, United States Army Support Command, Qui Nhon; United States Army Depot, Qui Nhon, USARV.

He was awarded The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal.
