Florence J. Buvid, age 92, a resident of Meadow View Assisted Living of Two Rivers, formerly of 2019 Garfield St., died late Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016 at Meadow View. Florence was born in Mishicot on May 5, 1924 to the late Edward and Ella (Duesing) Redeker. She attended St. John's Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1942. She then furthered her education at a Business College in Manitowoc. On June 29, 1946, she married Harold "Buzz" Buvid in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death July 1, 1989. Florence worked at the Two Rivers Clinic for many years as a Medical Records Supervisor until her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, playing cards, and was a member of several card clubs. Florence was a longtime member of the Two Rivers Senior Center; and will be remembered as "Grandma" to all. Survivors include her children: Keith and Marsha Buvid of Newton, Wendy Bornemann (Marty LeClair) of Manitowoc, Nancy and Mike Derenne, Holly and Andrew Laurin, all of Two Rivers; her grandchildren include: Scott Buvid, and his sister, Lisa; Darren Buvid, Brian Buvid, Christopher (Sarah) Bornemann, Melissa (Joshua) Brich, Zachary Derenne, Bailey Derenne, Ian & Erin Laurin; and two great granddaughters, Evelyn and Fiona Brich. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Ralph Buvid of Oshkosh; one sister-in-law, Ruth Redeker of Fond du Lac; special family friends: Jim and Sarah, Liam, Finley, and Declan Johnson; Bill and Kathy Marshall, Karlie Hackbarth & Logan; along with nieces, nephews, wonderful friends and great neighbors. In addition to her parents and her husband, Harold, she was also preceded in death by one son, Lee Buvid; one brother, Howard Redeker; and one sister-in-law, Margie Buvid.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 17th and East Park St. Two Rivers. Rev. David Arndt will officiate at the service, with burial in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
