David Lynn Sabo, 56
David Lynn Sabo was born in Denver, Colo., on Jan. 15, 1960, to Clair and Muriel Sabo.
He had two older brothers, Terry and Tommy.
He moved with his parents to Lead while only four months old. David was then moved to Auburn, Wash., when he was 6. His parents then moved to Bison in 1970 for a year and then they moved to Deadwood where he finished his last seven years of school.
After graduating from Lead/Deadwood High School, he then moved to Wisconsin to attend college while working as a cook in a local restaurant. While he lived in Wisconsin, he meet his first wife, Lynn, and they were married on Aug. 14,1980. Later that year, they moved to Deadwood. David and Lynn then moved to Bozeman, Mont. After living in Bozeman for two years, they then moved to Minneapolis, Minn., for five years. During that time, they had two children, Scott and Katie.
The family then moved to Phoenix, Ariz., where David attended a respiratory therapist school. David then moved to Buckley Wash., where he met and married his current wife, Leona Sabo, on June 17, 2000. They lived in Buckley for seven years before moving to Spearfish to be closer to David's ailing father. David lived in Spearfish until his death on Dec. 4, 2016, at the age of 56.
David is survived by his wife, Leona; his mother, Muriel; brother, Terry; son, Scott; daughter, Katie; sons, David, Dexter, and Andy from his marriage to Leona; and eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
