Pastor Clare L. Reiter, 96, of N9602 Turba Ct. Elkhart Lake was taken from mortal death to spiritual life Friday evening December 9, 2016 at his home. An enthusiastic student and athlete, he attended Henry Public Schools, graduating in 1938.Clare proudly served his country as 1st Lieutenant with the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division. He served from August 1943 until April 1946 and was involved in the European Theater during WWII. During that time he was united in marriage to Alvina Lohmiller on July 9, 1944 in Columbus, Georgia.

After the war, Clare and Alvina started a family and worked their own farm until he felt the call to enter the ministry. He went on to attend Northwestern College in Watertown, WI from 1950 until 1952 and later Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI from 1952 to 1955.
