Sammie L. Fehrenbacher, 83, of Olney, passed away Friday, December 09, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 11, 1933 in Olney, IL, a son of Sam and Mary (McCarty) Fehrenbacher. He married Nancy (Gasser) on August 18, 1957.

Sammie owned and operated Fehrenbacher Oil and Red Rooster. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954-1956 and was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University.

Sammie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy (Gasser) Fehrenbacher; son, Brett Fehrenbacher and wife Bonita of Olney; son, Bart Fehrenbacher and wife Debbie of Olney; daughter, Samantha Berger and husband Michael of Olney; 9 grandchildren, Erica, Bryce, Alyssa, Brettany, Michael, Daylon, Barak, Quaid, and Aleine; 4 great-grandchilren, Beckett, Bradley, Maycee, and Bayley; brother, Tom Fehrenbacher and wife Phyllis of Olney.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials can be made to Elm Street Christian Church or Olney Public Library.
