Wayne J. Durocher, 76, of Fond du Lac passed away Monday Oct. 1, 2012 at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee after being taken there by Flight for Life on Sept. 19th. He was born in Two Rivers on Oct. 28, 1935 the son of William and Emma (Dupras) Durocher. He graduated from Washington High School in Two Rivers in 1955. On July 13, 1957, Wayne married Lou Ann Jost, his love of 55 years. Wayne served in the U.S. Army from Jan. 4, 1960 to Feb. 1, 1962 and was stationed in Germany where Lou Ann was able to join him. He worked at Red Owl for 25 years, then ran Durocher's Bar in Dotyville for 7 years and worked at Riley Electrical Supply from 1986 to 1999. Wayne was a member of Holy Family Parish-Sacred Heart Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Elks and the Snow Drifters-Dotyville member. Wayne and Lou Ann reside in Dade City, FL in the winter and Fond du Lac in the summer. Wayne loved horses, was a huge Packer fan, loved to play sheephead and have a good time. He made many people smile during his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Emmett, Donald (Valeria), Glenn, Evan and Dale, his mother-in-law Leona Jost Salata, his step father-in-law Michael Salata, his father-in-law Frank Jost, his sister-in-law Carol Jost Vanne and his nephews Donald Delphis Vanne and Peter Gau.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3:00 PM on Thur. Oct. 4th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 200 S. Peters Ave. Fond du Lac. Entombment will be at 11:00 AM on Friday Oct. 5th in Knollwood Mausoleum in Mishicot. Visitation will be Thur. Oct. 4th from 1:00 PM until time of mass at the Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Wisconsin Kidney Foundation.
